This plain leather jacket in seal-brown collar is made in Japan and produced by Buzz Rickson ( Buzz Ricksons Buzz Rickson's ) from Toyo Enterprises. The pattern construction of this solid color A2 jacket is a reproduction of the A-2 Flight Jacket ( U.S. Army Air Force USAAF The Type A-2 Bomber Jacket, Flying Jacket) from CONTRACT No. W535 AC-23380 Rough Wear Clothing dated 1942 during World War II. This basic A-2 jacket combines all those historical characteristics and details with a modernize fit for a more casual look and fashion purpose. The fabric of this blank A2 jacket is made up of 2 layers. This simple A-2 jacket is constructed from a vegetable-tanned and aniline dyed thick genuine horsehide leather outer shell in seal brown with lightweight broadcloth lining. The leather of this jacket is processed with vegetable tanning and then aniline dyeing by craftsman's handicraft to recreate the look of dull-hued and uneven color for a fashionable vintage feel. Also natural vegetable-tanned and aniline-dyed leather reacts to sunlight, so the colour changes slowly with time and sun exposure. And with repeated wear. the leather will fade beautifully to create a unique personalized garment compared to chrome tanned leather with lacquered finish. And this non-padded type A-2 leather jacket features center-set frontal zip closure with storm flap, shirt-style turn-down collar with hidden press studs located on inside of collar ends, wool rib knit cuffs/waistband in brown color. This product is made for Japanese market and made for Japanese clothing sizes. And this A-2 jacket is cut to wear as a stylish modern fit (not too tight or not loose) with short in the body length for a more fashion-forward looks. Buzz Rickson has made the fit of this jacket a more modern cut for fashionable casual look than vintage examples. This leather jacket is new original creations by Buzz Rickson.

Outer shell : Made of vegetable-tanned pure thick horsehide leather coloured with aniline dye in seal brown. The leather of this jacket is processed with vegetable tanning and then aniline dyeing by craftsman's handicraft to recreate the look of dull-hued and uneven color for a fashionable vintage feel. Also natural vegetable-tanned and aniline-dyed leather reacts to sunlight, so the colour changes slowly with time and sun exposure. And with repeated wear. the leather will fade beautifully to create a unique personalized garment compared to chrome tanned leather with lacquered finish. Since horsehide originally does not have a smooth surface, it has many wrinkles. This jacket has the wrinkles that are unique to horsehide, giving it a different appeal from smooth leathers. This is normal in a horsehide jacket. and it isn't a defect. For a vintage look, the leather of this jacket is made with the original taste of horsehide. And the more you wear, the more leather will further fade beautifully.
Lining shell : Made of 100% cotton thin, lightweigt, density and tightness weave broadcloth fabric. This lining is smooth and sleek so you can take the jacket off and put it on easily.
Type of insulation : No inside padding. No fill. Unfilled, Unpadded, Non-padded.
Placket type : Front zipper closure from TALON with storm flap located in front of zipper closure. The zipper is covered with a storm flap. Storm flap prevents the wind from slipping through the front. Leather pull tab on zipper for easy functioning with gloves.
Pocket : Two flap pockets on the lower front section of the jacket with hidden snap buttons (Two snap-down exterior flap pockets).
Collar : Shirt-style turn-down collar with hidden press studs located on inside of collar ends. Collar with collar stand for crisper appearance with metal collar clip. Ball-and-socket-style hidden press studs located on collar ends.
Cuff type : The two-ply knit rib cuffs in brown color with the narrow weave graduating into the wider weave at top.
Pattern Type : Plain, solid color, basic, simple, blank.

A woven tag label and USAAF authentic inspector's stamp applied to lining. *This item has been specially treated to produce a vintage-like effect. Body Width (Half Chest)
Lay the clothing flat and measure 3 cm under the armhole. Measure from side to side
Body Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from base of collar seam (excluding collar) down to the end of the hem
Sleeve Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from center back of base of collar seam to the end of the cuff
Shoulder Width
Lay the clothing flat and measure shoulder seam to shoulder seam
Lay Jeans/Pants flat, face up and do not stretch or pull fabric.
Waist
Measure flat across the back waistband from one side to the other with the natural dip. Double the number to get actual waist size.
Inseam
Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg on the inside seam.
