Tariff and Import Charges Update for U.S. Shipments (February 2026)

Important Summary for U.S. Customers:

- Any reciprocal duties assessed on U.S.-bound shipments from Japan are covered by our store, so you will not be charged for those duties at any stage of delivery.

- We currently ship orders to the United States via FedEx only. Please note that FedEx cannot deliver to U.S. P.O. Boxes or military addresses (APO/FPO/DPO). A standard residential or business address is required for successful delivery.

- EMS (Japan Post) and DHL are not available for U.S. shipments from our store at this time.

This is an update regarding tariffs and import charges for orders shipped from our store in Japan to the United States.

According to guidance issued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), as referenced by FedEx, the additional duties imposed under IEEPA are no longer being collected for goods entering the United States after 12:00 a.m. EST on February 24, 2026. At the same time, other duties, tariffs, and import-related charges remain in effect, and FedEx’s invoicing process remains unchanged.

In addition, the U.S. government has announced a temporary 10% import surcharge for 150 days, effective 12:01 a.m. EST on February 24, 2026. There have also been news reports that the administration is working on a possible increase from 10% to 15%, but as of now, no official implementation timing has been announced.

For this reason, we will continue to process U.S. orders based on the latest FedEx and U.S. Customs rules in effect at the time of import clearance. Accordingly, our Shipping Options for Orders to the United States from Our Store will remain unchanged at this time.

Import Duties and Charges (U.S.-Bound Shipments)

Under current U.S. import rules, shipments from Japan may be subject to duties and import-related charges.
As part of our current store policy, any reciprocal duties assessed on U.S.-bound shipments from Japan are covered by our store, so you will not be charged for them during delivery.

Policy Changes and Shipping Methods

Following changes to U.S. import rules, the customs and billing environment for U.S.-bound shipments has remained fluid. To avoid delays or billing issues, we are currently using FedEx only for shipments to the United States.

We are not offering EMS or DHL for U.S. shipments at this time, and we will continue to review this policy as further guidance becomes available.

Please note that the information above reflects the current situation and may be updated if U.S. regulations or carrier policies change.

Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.

Unfortunately, EMS (Japan Post) and DHL are not currently available for shipments to the U.S. from our store.

Reciprocal Duties After De Minimis Rule Removal
As of August 29, 2025, all U.S.-bound shipments from Japan may be subject to reciprocal duties. These duties are covered by our store, so you will not be charged at any stage of the delivery process.

1. Policy Changes and De Minimis Rule

The U.S. government has announced that, effective August 29, 2025 the long-standing de minimis rule―which exempted shipments under USD 800 from duties―will no longer apply to packages arriving from Japan. This means that all parcels, regardless of their value, may be subject to duties ranging between 15% and 30%.

At this time, the U.S. authorities have not provided the Japanese authorities with clear procedures for collecting or remitting these duties. This lack of clarity has created significant uncertainty for international carriers.

2. Impact on EMS and DHL

Due to this uncertainty, we have decided to refrain from using EMS (Japan Post) and DHL for shipments to the United States until a clear solution is established

Please kindly note that the information above reflects the situation as of now, and it may be subject to change as further guidance is provided by the authorities.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
