These hickory-striped denim work pants are crafted by Toyo Enterprises in Japan under an official license from the American HEADLIGHT brand. Originally, "Headlight" was a workwear brand from Larned, Carter & Co., based in Detroit, USA. Active from the early 1900s until the 1960s, it produced durable workwear such as overalls, engineer jackets, work pants, and railroad caps. Popular among railroad workers and engineers for its functional design, the brand unfortunately disappeared in the 1960s after being absorbed by another company. However, Toyo Enterprises in Japan has revived the HEADLIGHT brand, even replicating its original label design. These hickory pants are a faithful reproduction of the vintage HEADLIGHT hickory-striped dungarees, also known as carpenter pants or painter pants, from the late 1940s to the 1950s. They are made of 100% cotton in an 11 oz., unlined, single-ply hickory stripe denim fabric, incorporating the historical features and details that made the original so revered. Additionally, as part of the finishing process, it is pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage and to achieve a comfortable texture. These Headlight hickory stripe work pants feature classic multi-pocket design including a hammer loop on the left back pocket and tool pockets on both legs, a button fly with the top button being a snap button, and seven belt loops. These Headlight classic fit straight-leg hickory stripe jeans offer a relaxed, straight-cut design that slightly tapers from the thigh to the hem, ensuring a comfortable and flattering fit. Additionally, as part of the finishing process, it is pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage and to achieve a comfortable texture. And the more you wear, the more hickory denim will fade beautifully.

Pocket : Two slant hand pockets on front. One coin pocket on right front pocket. Two reinforced open-top patch pockets on back. Two tool pockets on both legs. One hammer loop is located below the left back pocket. Each pocket is reinforced with bar tacks for added strength and durability.
Front pocket bags : Cotton drill Unbreached twill, 100% cotton.
Other details : Size tag sewn into left side back pocket seam. Seven belt loops for better support of your belt. Main seams are double-stitched for durability.
