This lightweight satin Sukajan is produced by Tailor Toyo, a brand of Toyo Enterprise, and is made in China. It is reversible, with embroidery on each side, designed without padding for a sleek look. The Japanese souvenir jacket, also known as a "Sukajan" or "Japanese bomber jacket," has its roots in post-World War II Japan. American soldiers stationed in Japan had these jackets custom-made, featuring intricate oriental designs, such as dragons and tigers, along with the names of their units or bases. These jackets served as unique mementos of their time in Japan. At that time, the company now known as Tailor Toyo (Toyo Enterprises) played a significant role in supplying these jackets to the Post Exchange (PX) stores located on U.S. military bases. Originally named "KOSHO & CO.," this company has been preserving the craftsmanship and tradition of Sukajan since the 1940s. In 1965, Toyo Enterprises was established, continuing this legacy under the Tailor Toyo label. This particular Sukajan is a new creation by Tailor Toyo, carrying on the rich history and meticulous craftsmanship that have made these jackets iconic. This brand-new Sukajan has been designed to capture the timeless charm and character of a vintage piece. The fabric of this jacket is made up of 2 layers. This jacket is constructed from a acetate satin outer shell and acetate satin lining shell. This jacket is fully reversible and unfilled, both sides are customized with vintage-style embroidery technique. It features fully reversible, frontal zip closure, contrast raglan sleeves, striped knit ribbed sleeve ends/collar/waistband. And the graphic on this jacket is based on the Early 1950s Style JAPAN MAP x GOLD dragon. This product is offered in Japanese (Asian) sizes, which tend to run slightly smaller than US and EU sizes. Lay the clothing flat and measure 3 cm under the armhole. Measure from side to side
Body Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from base of collar seam (excluding collar) down to the end of the hem
Sleeve Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from center back of base of collar seam to the end of the cuff
Shoulder Width
Lay the clothing flat and measure shoulder seam to shoulder seam
Lay Jeans/Pants flat, face up and do not stretch or pull fabric.
Waist
Measure flat across the back waistband from one side to the other with the natural dip. Double the number to get actual waist size.
Inseam
Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg on the inside seam.
