This men's casual long-sleeve indogo button-up shirt is made in Japan by Momotaro Jeans, a brand renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship. Inspired by the classic work shirt, this piece is crafted from dobby fabric using Momotaro's unique manufacturing techniques. The fabric is designed to evoke the texture of traditional Japanese Sashiko cloth, giving it a distinctive three-dimensional texture created by dobby weaving. Made from 100% cotton, this heavyweight fabric is woven on a dobby loom to create a texture similar to sashiko fabric. By using three thick indigo-dyed yarns for both the warp and weft, it replicates the look and feel of sashiko stitching. The fabric is thick and durable, yet it also retains a supple softness. As part of the finishing process, the garment is pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage and comfortable texture. It features a cat-eye-shaped black mother-of-pearl front button closure, regular collar with a collar band, single-button cuffs with cuff slits, set-in sleeves, two chest patch pockets with button closure, a slightly curved back yoke, a rounded shirttail with side gussets, and triple twisted threads-runnoff that extend and hang from the side seams on the hem. This shirt is available in US/EU sizes and features a comfortable fit with extra room in the chest and shoulders for ease of movement. It's versatile enough to wear on its own or layer under a jacket. As part of the finishing process, the garment is pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage and comfortable texture. And the more you wear, the more indigo fabric will fade beautifully. It is perfect to wear alone or as a base layer with a outerwear.
Types of garment closure (Placket type) : Front button closure. A classic full-button closure along the front, secured with seven cat-eye-shaped black-mother-of-pearl buttons. The front placket includes vertical buttonholes (The top and bottom buttonholes are horizontal).
Collar Type : Regular collar with collar stand (collar band) for crisper appearance.
Bottom hem type : Rounded shirttails with side gussets. Curved hem (shirt tail). Side gussets on the hem, and triple twisted threads-runnoff that extend and hang from the side seams on the hem. A gusset is a piece of fabric which adds durability to a section of a garment. For this shirt, gussets are seen at the point where the side seams meet the hem. The chainstitch runoff extending (triple twisted threads which hang from the side seam on hem). This detail can be seen on rare vintage shirts as well as modern reproductions.
Pocket : Classically-styled two chest patch flap with button closure. The upper corners of the pockets are reinforced with bartack stitching for added durability. The left chest pocket includes a divider for holding a pen.
Yoke type : Classic slightly curved back yoke. A shirt yoke is made from two layers of fabric for durability. Reinforced double-layers shoulder yoke for greater durability at stress points.
Back of the Shirt : No pleats for easy ironing and clean lines.
Pattern Type : Plain, solid color, basic, simple, blank.
Cuffs Type : The shirt is equipped with single-button cuffs, complemented by a sleeve placket (cuff slit). This design allows for easy on and off, providing convenience and a comfortable fit.

・ Be cautious of color transfer from friction
During wear, color may transfer to other garments, bags, chairs, or surfaces due to friction. Please take extra care when combining with light-colored or white items.
・ Washing instructions
The dye may transfer to other items during washing, so we recommend washing separately. To prevent color fading, especially in areas prone to rubbing, turn the garment inside out before washing. Avoid scrubbing and let it air dry naturally. Repeated washing will gradually stabilize the color fading.
・ Be mindful of water and sweat
Exposure to moisture from sweat or rain can cause color transfer. If the fabric becomes damp, color fading and transfer are more likely to occur.
・ Avoid yellowing from sunlight
When drying in a sunny spot, it’s recommended to turn the garment inside out to minimize the risk of discoloration from light.

Sleeve Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from center back of base of collar seam to the end of the cuff
Shoulder Width
Lay the clothing flat and measure shoulder seam to shoulder seam
Lay Jeans/Pants flat, face up and do not stretch or pull fabric.
Waist
Measure flat across the back waistband from one side to the other with the natural dip. Double the number to get actual waist size.
Inseam
Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg on the inside seam.
