These unlined hickory-striped denim bib overalls are crafted by Toyo Enterprises in Japan under an official license from the American HEADLIGHT brand. Originally, "Headlight" was a workwear brand from Larned, Carter & Co., based in Detroit, USA. Active from the early 1900s until the 1960s, it produced durable workwear such as overalls, engineer jackets, work pants, and railroad caps. Popular among railroad workers and engineers for its functional design, the brand unfortunately disappeared in the 1960s after being absorbed by another company. However, Toyo Enterprises in Japan has revived the HEADLIGHT brand, even replicating its original label design. These hickory overalls are a faithful reproduction of the vintage HEADLIGHT hickory-striped denim bib overalls from 1940s - 1950s. They are made of 100% cotton in an 11 oz., unlined, single-ply hickory stripe denim fabric, incorporating the historical features and details that made the original so revered. Additionally, as part of the finishing process, the jeans are pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage. And these bib overalls feature a classic high-back (shield back) strap style, unique brass clasp closure in the shape of an anchor hook, adjuster slide for a comfortable fit, a retro multi-pockets, button fly, side buttons for easy on and off, and a straight leg cut. This product comes in US/EU sizes and is designed with a classic fit, providing a generous and relaxed silhouette. It offers a relaxed fit around the torso, ensuring a comfortable and roomy feel. The design allows for layering flexibility, accommodating anything from light layers like T-shirts to heavier ones like hoodies or sweatshirts beneath the overalls. These overalls strike the perfect balance of comfort, vintage work style, and practicality, staying true to their classic design intentions. These unlined overalls can be worn year-round. Fabric Type : Made of a 100% cotton unlined, single-ply, 11 ounces high-density woven hickory stripe denim fabric. Additionally, as part of the finishing process, the jeans are pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage.
Lining : Unlined. Suitable for all year round.
Strap style : Classic design high back style strap with the anchor shaped hook clasp and adjuster slide.
Clasp : Brass clasp closure in the shape of an anchor shaped hook and rectangular shaped loop. The closure of these overalls differs from the typical buckle loop-and-button closures, with an anchor-shaped piece that slips into the loop and locks into place.
Storage : Retro Multi-Pocket. The house-shaped bib pocket on the overalls can be accessed from both the left and right sides, but the interior is one single space without any dividers. A pen slot is attached to the left side of the bib pocket. Two slant bar-tacked hand pockets on front. One bar-tacked coin pocket in front. Two open-top patch pockets with bar-tacked reinforcement stitch on back. Hammer loop on the right back pocket. Tool pockets on both legs.
Front Closure Type : Button fly. 3 buttons on front opening.
Leg Opening : Straight to the leg opening (slightly tapered leg).
Other details : Side buttons for easy on/off. Brand Label on bib pocket. Size spec label sewn into left back pocket. Triple-stitched seams are used throughout for added durability.

Lay the clothing flat and measure 3 cm under the armhole. Measure from side to side
Body Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from base of collar seam (excluding collar) down to the end of the hem
Sleeve Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from center back of base of collar seam to the end of the cuff
Shoulder Width
Lay the clothing flat and measure shoulder seam to shoulder seam
Lay Jeans/Pants flat, face up and do not stretch or pull fabric.
Waist
Measure flat across the back waistband from one side to the other with the natural dip. Double the number to get actual waist size.
Inseam
Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg on the inside seam.
