This men's blanket-lined denim jacket was produced by Lee Japan, part of the EDWIN Group, and made in Vietnam. A modern reinterpretation of the iconic Lee 101-LJ (Storm Rider), it reflects Lee Japan's signature attention to detail with authentic vintage design cues and period-inspired character, while fitting naturally into a modern casual wardrobe and balancing heritage style with everyday wearability. In terms of materials and construction, this jacket features a two-layer build. The outer shell is made from 100% cotton, 13-ounce, medium-weight, indigo-dyed left-hand twill denim, while the interior is lined with a striped blanket fabric for warmth. It is pre-washed once (one-wash) to help minimize shrinkage and enhance comfort from the first wear. For hardware and detailing, the jacket features a six-button front closure with Lee RIDERS-engraved metal buttons, along with the brand's signature zig-zag topstitching running down the center front placket. The collar is finished in corduroy with a classic point shape. Set-in long sleeves are finished with a functional sleeve placket and single-button cuffs. The front includes angled, yoke-linked chest pockets secured with buttoned flaps, with a Lee label on the left flap as a subtle signature accent. Vertical action pleats run from below the front yoke down to the waistband on both sides of the placket, reinforced with parallel rows of topstitching for added mobility and structure. The back uses a multi-panel construction for shape and durability, and the waistband is finished with buttoned side-tab adjusters for subtle fit tuning while maintaining a clean, classic silhouette. Sized for a U.S./EU fit, it offers comfortable room through the chest, with a cropped length that feels easy to wear today. Overall, it pairs vintage-inspired design with Lee Japan's careful attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Outer shell: The outer shell is built from 100% cotton, 13-ounce indigo denim in a left-hand twill weave. At this medium weight, the fabric has enough body to hold a clean jacket shape and resist abrasion at high-stress areas such as the placket, pocket edges, and cuffs, while still breaking in comfortably with wear. As part of the finishing process, the denim is pre-washed (one-wash) to help reduce shrinkage after washing and to provide a more comfortable. Over time, as you wear it, the denim will continue to develop even more beautiful, personalized fades, enhancing its character and charm.
Lining shell for body and sleeves: Both the body and the sleeves are fully lined. The lining fabric is specified as "wool and other fibers," using a recycled-wool blend composed of 50% wool, 30% polyester, and 20% mixed fibers (rayon, acrylic, and nylon). This blanket-style lining is selected to provide insulation and warmth while reinforcing the Storm Rider-inspired look and feel. The blended composition improves durability and stability for everyday wear, especially in areas exposed to repeated friction such as the sleeves. Compared with heavier insulated outerwear, the blanket lining provides practical warmth without excessive bulk, making it well-suited for fall and mild winter conditions.
Front Closure & Placket Construction: The front closure is built with a button-front placket, secured by six metal buttons engraved with the "Lee RIDERS" logo. The placket is reinforced with Lee's signature zig-zag topstitching running vertically along the center front. This distinctive stitching not only serves as a visual hallmark of Lee's Rider lineage but also adds structural reinforcement to the placket area, improving durability at a key stress point. The buttonholes are oriented horizontally, a traditional workwear detail designed to help distribute stress across the placket during movement and wear, reducing the risk of distortion or tearing over time. The button-front design allows straightforward wear and adjustment while preserving the clean, classic appearance associated with the 101-LJ (Storm Rider)-inspired design.
Pocket Construction: The jacket is equipped with angled chest pockets integrated into the front yoke seam, a hallmark detail of Lee's Rider-style design. The pockets are set on a diagonal for easier access while maintaining a clean, streamlined look across the chest. Each pocket is finished with a buttoned flap closure, secured by metal buttons engraved with the "Lee RIDERS" logo. The flaps help protect pocket contents while reinforcing the jacket's workwear origins. Pocket edges and flap ends are reinforced with durable topstitching to strengthen high-stress points for long-term wear. As a subtle branding detail, the left chest pocket flap is finished with a Lee brand label, adding a recognizable yet understated signature to the classic design. This pocket layout balances practical utility with period-inspired styling, contributing to an authentic Rider-inspired look while remaining suitable for everyday wear. This model has no interior pockets, keeping the interior clean and uncluttered in line with its heritage-focused design.
Collar: The jacket is finished with a corduroy collar in a classic point shape, a signature detail closely associated with blanket-lined Storm Rider-style denim jackets. It features a standless collar design (no collar stand), meaning the collar is attached directly to the neckline without a separate collar-stand piece, keeping the profile clean and true to traditional workwear construction. Using corduroy at the collar provides a softer, more comfortable contact surface at the neck compared with denim, while also adding subtle contrast and a heritage workwear accent. The collar is reinforced with precise topstitching along the outer edge to improve durability and help it hold its shape over time. Designed to sit neatly at the neckline when worn open or closed, the collar maintains the balanced proportions characteristic of Lee's Rider-style lineage and complements both heritage styling and modern casual wear.
Front Action Pleat Construction: The jacket features a front action pleat integrated into the body panel, a hallmark construction detail of the Lee 101-LJ (Storm Rider). The pleat is created by folding excess fabric inward along a vertical line running from the chest toward the waistband. It is then secured at key stress points with reinforced stitching. From a construction standpoint, the pleat serves two primary functions. First, it improves mobility and ease of movement. When the wearer moves their arms forward, the pleat opens slightly to provide extra room across the chest without pulling or restricting movement. This layout was originally intended for riding and work activities, where forward arm motion is frequent. Second, it provides structure without excess bulk. Unlike external gussets or elasticated panels, the pleat stays visually clean and flat when at rest. The fold is controlled with reinforced topstitching to maintain a clean, structured look while still allowing functional expansion. The pleat is finished with parallel rows of topstitching to stabilize the fold and distribute stress across the panel. Its placement aligns with the chest pocket and yoke lines, maintaining both visual balance and structural continuity. Overall, it is a practical workwear solution executed with precision, combining functional engineering with the restrained aesthetics associated with the Rider Jacket design.
Cuff: The sleeves are finished with single-button cuffs, designed for straightforward adjustment and a clean, classic appearance. Each cuff is secured with a metal button engraved with the "Lee RIDERS" logo, matching the hardware used throughout the jacket for visual consistency. A functional sleeve placket is incorporated at the cuff opening, allowing the sleeve opening to widen when the cuff button is undone, making the jacket easier to put on and take off. The placket is reinforced with durable stitching to withstand repeated use, reflecting the jacket's workwear origins.
Length: The jacket is cut with a cropped body length, consistent with the classic proportions of the 101-LJ (Storm Rider). The cropped length enhances ease of movement and prevents excess fabric from bunching when seated, reflecting the jacket's original functional intent.
Back Panel & Waist Adjuster Construction: The back of the jacket is constructed from multiple shaped panels, providing improved structure, durability, and a more contoured fit. This multi-panel build helps the jacket maintain its form over time while accommodating natural body movement. At the waistband, the jacket features buttoned side tab adjusters positioned at the back, allowing for fit control without elastic or a buckle-back and keeping the waistline clean and uncluttered. Each tab uses a fixed-and-adjustable construction: one end is permanently sewn into the jacket body, while the free end is finished with a buttonhole. On the waistband, two plastic "cat's eye" buttons provide the adjustment settings. When a slimmer waist fit is desired, the tab can be fastened to the inner of the two buttons, drawing in the waistband and reducing the waist circumference. When waist reduction is not needed, the tab can be secured to the outer button to maintain the standard fit. This setup creates a two-stage waist adjustment system that fine-tunes the fit while preserving the jacket's clean, classic Rider Jacket silhouette.
Sleeve Style: Set-in sleeve construction.
Sleeve Length: Full-length sleeves.

Care Instructions
- Machine wash at or below 40°C (104°F).
- Wash separately or with like colors. Due to the nature of indigo-dyed denim, color fading and color transfer may occur, especially during the first few washes.
- Do not bleach.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Iron at low temperature. Use a pressing cloth when ironing to protect the fabric surface.
- Dry cleanable (gentle process).
Additional Care Notes:
- Avoid soaking the garment in water for extended periods, and do not wash together with light-colored items. Indigo dye may bleed or transfer through friction, moisture, or repeated washing. This is a natural characteristic of indigo denim and contributes to its aging and patina over time.
Handling Indigo-Dyed Products:
- This product is dyed with indigo, which naturally fades over time. Please note that indigo dye may transfer to other clothing or items during wear or washing. We kindly ask for your understanding of these characteristics and recommend careful handling.
- Be cautious of color transfer from friction
During wear, dye may transfer to other garments, bags, chairs, or surfaces due to friction. Please take extra care when pairing with light-colored or white items.
Washing instructions
- Dye may transfer during washing, so we recommend washing separately. To help minimize fading?especially in areas prone to rubbing?turn the garment inside out before washing. Avoid scrubbing or brushing the fabric, and allow it to air dry naturally. With repeated washing, dye transfer typically becomes less noticeable over time.
Be mindful of water and sweat
- Moisture from sweat or rain can increase the chance of dye transfer. If the fabric becomes damp, fading and color transfer are more likely to occur.
Avoid discoloration from sunlight
- When drying in a sunny place, we recommend turning the garment inside out to help reduce the risk of discoloration from direct light.
Please handle with care and enjoy the unique character of indigo-dyed products.
