These men's casual cargo shorts are designed and made in Japan by TOYS McCOY, a brand renowned for its vintage-inspired clothing. This model draws its inspiration from classic U.S. Army fatigue trousers. While retaining authentic military-style details, its most distinctive feature is the modified, knee-length design. Crafted with TOYS McCOY's signature craftsmanship, these shorts seamlessly blend the timeless appeal of vintage military aesthetics with a modern silhouette, offering a retro, nostalgic casual look that fuses classic military elements with contemporary style. The fabric is made from 100% cotton, non-stretch, lightweight ripstop cloth, offering a durable yet comfortable feel. As part of the finishing process, the garment is pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage and give it a vintage-inspired look. These shorts feature a zip fly with an inner flap that can be secured with an inside button, an adjustable drawstring waistband (non-elastic) with seven belt loops, two hand pockets, two back pockets, and two cargo pockets on the legs - all of which are flap pockets secured with snap buttons. In addition, side adjustable buckle tabs on the back of the waistband allow for reducing the waist size for a more customized fit. These shorts have a modern regular straight fit with a zip fly and a mid-rise waist, along with a knee length. They offer a balanced silhouette - neither too slim nor too loose - through the seat and thighs, with straight legs that taper slightly toward the hem. Fabric : The fabric is made from 100% cotton, non-stretch, lightweight ripstop cloth, offering a durable yet comfortable feel. Ripstop fabric is a durable and lightweight material that is specifically engineered to resist tearing and ripping. It is woven using a special reinforcing technique that incorporates thicker threads at regular intervals (grid pattern). This structure helps stop small tears from spreading, making the fabric highly dependable for rugged use. Originally developed for military uniforms and parachutes, ripstop fabric is now commonly used in outdoor gear, jackets, tactical clothing, and workwear. Despite its strength, it remains relatively light and breathable, offering an excellent balance of durability and comfort. As part of the finishing process, the garment is pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage and give it a vintage-inspired look.
Lining : Unlined.
Front Closure Type : Zip fly. The zip fly includes an inner flap with a buttonhole that fastens to an interior button, providing added security.
Storage : The pants have six exterior pockets. Two slant hand pockets on front. Two pockets on back. Two cargo pockets on each leg. All pockets are covered by a flap that fastens with a hidden snap-down button.
Other details : The waistband of these shorts features a convenient drawstring that makes them adjust. Unlike elastic waistbands, the drawstring allows you to securely tighten the fit, ensuring a perfect and comfortable fit every time. Side adjustable buckle tabs on back of waistband to allow for decreasing the waist size. Side adjustable buckle tabs cannot be not used to make shorts larger at the waist, only smaller. Seven belt loops for better support of your belt. Main seams are double-stitched for durability. As a stylish accent, TOYS McCOY brand labels are sewn onto both the left cargo pocket and the left back pocket.
