This winter jacket is produced by Japanese casualwear brand EDWIN under a license from the American Alpha Industries and made in China. The pattern construction of this jacket is a reproduction of the the vintage USAF MA-1 flight jacket dated 1968 by Alpha Industries. This heritage military Jacket pays homage to the iconic Alpha Industries MA-1 jackets combining classic details with a modernize fit in a contemporary approach for a more casual look and fashion purpose. With the inspiration from Alpha Industries's historic military clothing line, this MA1 flying jacket has been re-designed for a more fashion-forward looks. The beauty of this piece is the balance of classic construction and modern updates from Alpha Industries. This product is made especially for Japanese market and made for Japanese clothing sizes. And this jacket originally intended to wear as a Modern Fit (Not too slim or Not too loose) with short in the body length (above hip). Outer shell : Made of 100% nylon, heavy nylon twill in vintage green (Grayish Green). It is high density and extremely durable. It combines the toughness and the natural softness for comfort. This fabric has a soft touch and deep hue with beautiful sheen.
Lining shell for body and sleeves : Fully lined, 100% nylon twill emergency orange lining just like the original. The lining is smooth and sleek so you can take the jacket off and put it on easily.
Interlining (Type of insulation ) : Inside padding. The jacket is filled with 100% polyester fiber fill sandwiched between the outer and inner shell lining to retains heat and protect you from the cold. Suitable for fall and winter.
Types of garment closure (Placket type) : Zipper closure with internal storm flap with zig-zag stitching. Wind flap protector (storm flap) located behind zipper closure. Front Fastener from Alpha Industries original zip with zip tape made of all-cotton HBT fabric. An internal storm flap with zig-zag stitching behind the zipper prevents the wind from slipping through the front. A leather tab has been attached to zipper pull-tab, making it easy to open and close when riding a motorcycle or wearing gloves (or both).
Storage : Two exterior slanted single welt snap-closure pockets lined with warm brushed fabric on front side. Two interior vertical-side-entry snap-closure pockets lined with cotton twill. Zippered cigarette pocket outfitted with four pen/pencil slots (utility pocket) on left sleeve with signature red "Remove Before Flight" flag.
Cuff type : The two-ply worsted-wool cuffs with the narrow weave graduating into the wider weave at top.

Body Width (Half Chest)
Lay the clothing flat and measure 3 cm under the armhole. Measure from side to side
Body Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from base of collar seam (excluding collar) down to the end of the hem
Sleeve Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from center back of base of collar seam to the end of the cuff
Shoulder Width
Lay the clothing flat and measure shoulder seam to shoulder seam
Lay Jeans/Pants flat, face up and do not stretch or pull fabric.
Waist
Measure flat across the back waistband from one side to the other with the natural dip. Double the number to get actual waist size.
Inseam
Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg on the inside seam.
