This sashiko cap is made in Japan and produced by Studio D'artisan (Studio Dartisan). Studio D'artisan is a modern denim label established in 2006, based in Kojima, Okayama, Japan, where is the birth place of Japanese domestic jeans. Studio D'artisan's products are introduced Japanese elements into american classic clothing making. The pattern construction of this hat is modeled after the American vintage trucker hats and baseball caps, but this boro cap is outfitted with Studio D'artisan's brand own detailing and design in a contemporary approach. With the inspiration from classic caps, this item has been re-designed with noragi boro sashiko fabric for a more casual look and fashion purpose. This cap features a Boro Noragi Sashiko style fabric, medium profile, slightly pre-curved stiff bill (It can be molded to be more curved, if you want), 6 panel with air holes on top, adjustable belt closure on rear, no-mesh. Also this baseball hat has been accented with a pig embroidery, the mascot of Studio D'artisan, on the left side panel. One size fits most for Men with an adjustable belt on the rear. Fitting up to head measurement 60cm (23.6"). This product is new original creations by Studio D'artisan.

Fabric : Made of 100% cotton Noragi Boro style jacquard fabric with white Sashiko stitchings in vertically and horizontally which gives the cap a traditional Japanese textile effect. When Japanese people still wore kimono, cotton clothing was very valuable. Even if they were used for a long time and torn , they were patchd and running-stitched to the cloth and reused again and again and worn carefully as reinforced clothes. These reinforcement techniques are called Noragi, Boro, and Sashiko. But the Noragi, Boro, and Sashiko are also highly valued for its decorative beauty. This fabric is woven on specialized jacquard looms to recreate traditional Japanese Noragi Boro Sashiko fabric. The fabric of this cap has been woven in yarn made from cotton thick yarns which containing varying thicknesses, uneven and heather yarns. This results in a unique fabric with an old-fashioned hue, a nice irregular and uneven texture to cap. This weaving process is provides a traditional Japanese weaving look. In addition, the fabric has been Sashiko running-stitched with white thread in vertical and horizontal irregularly. This fabric has a distinctive slubby and neppy texture.

Other details : The button is on top of the crown and helps hold all the panels together. 6 rows of stitching on visor. 4 row stitched on the sweatband. Inside seams are covered with cotton taping. This cap is designed for breathability with air holes on top. The crown of the cap is made up of 6 panels. This cap has 6 embroidered holes(eyelets), one in each panel to allow for ventilation. *This item has been specially treated to produce a vintage-like effect. Note that this may cause some of the threads in the base material and embroidery to appear loose or split in parts. Note that this is entirely consistent with the vintage effect and is intentional.

Body Width (Half Chest)
Lay the clothing flat and measure 3 cm under the armhole. Measure from side to side
Body Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from base of collar seam (excluding collar) down to the end of the hem
Sleeve Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from center back of base of collar seam to the end of the cuff
Shoulder Width
Lay the clothing flat and measure shoulder seam to shoulder seam
Lay Jeans/Pants flat, face up and do not stretch or pull fabric.
Waist
Measure flat across the back waistband from one side to the other with the natural dip. Double the number to get actual waist size.
Inseam
Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg on the inside seam.
