This blanket lined sashiko jacket is made in Japan and produced by Studio D'artisan (Studio Dartisan). Studio D'artisan is a modern denim label established in 2006, based in Kojima, Okayama, Japan, where is the birth place of Japanese domestic jeans. Studio D'artisan's products are introduced Japanese elements into american classic clothing making. The pattern construction of this jacket is inspired by the Lee 101LJ storm rider jackets (a blanket lined version), but this jacket is outfitted with Studio D'artisan brand own detailing and design in a contemporary approach with a modernize fit. With the inspiration from 1950s Lee Storm Rider 101 LJ, this item has been re-designed with Japanese style for a more casual look and fashion purpose. This jacket features a Japanese sashiko outer shell, blanket lining in the body, soft quilted lining in the sleeves. With the inspiration from American jackets, this item has been re-designed with Japanese style for a more casual look and fashion purpose. This sashiko outer shell gives the jacket a traditional Japanese style and look. Also this product is made for Japanese market and made for Japanese clothing sizes. Outer shell : Made of 100% cotton boro style jacquard fabric with white sashiko stitchings in vertically and horizontally which gives the jacket a traditional Japanese textile effect. When Japanese people still wore kimono, cotton clothing was very valuable. Even if they were used for a long time and torn, they were patchd and running-stitched to the cloth and reused again and again and worn carefully as reinforced clothes. These reinforcement techniques are called Boro and Sashiko. But the Boro and Sashiko are also highly valued for its decorative beauty. This outer shell fabric is woven on specialized jacquard looms to recreate traditional Japanese Boro Sashiko fabric. The outer shell fabric of this jacket has been woven in yarn made from cotton thick yarns which containing varying thicknesses, uneven and heather yarns. This results in a unique fabric with an old-fashioned hue, a nice irregular and uneven texture to jacket. This weaving process is provides a traditional Japanese weaving look. In addition, the fabric has been sashiko running-stitched with white thread in vertical and horizontal irregularly. This fabric has a distinctive slubby and neppy texture. It combines the toughness and the natural softness for comfort.
Lining shell for body : This jacket is lined with striped blanket lining with a wool blend fabric (55% wool, 7% rayon 33% ester and 5% nylon) for torso to retains heat and protect you from the cold. The blanket lining in the body stay warm but do not like bulky puffer jackets.
Lining shell for sleeves : Quilted polyester lining in sleeves that is smooth and sleek so you can take the jacket off and put it on easily. And quilted polyester lining in sleeves is filled with 100% polyester lightweigt fiber filling to retains heat and protect you from the cold.
Types of garment closure (Placket type) : 6 buttons on front opening with zig-zag topstitching on the front-left placket. Full button closure (Front button placket) with horizontal button holes. The buttons are metal buttons stamped with "UNION MAde".
Storage : The Jacket has two external pockets. Classically-styled twin chest falp pockets with button. The twin chest pockets are slanted for easy access.
Collar type : Self-fabric shirt collar.
Cuff type : Single button cuff. Cuff slit with bartack stitch reinforcement. Cuff slit let you take the jacket off and put it on easily.
Hem type : Short-length jacket.
Pattern Type : Boro style with sashiko running-stitching.
Sleeve Style : Set-in sleeves.
Sleeve Length : Long sleeves.
Other details : The Jacket has classically-styled multiple panels design on front and back. The zig-zag topstitching on the front-left placket for reinforcement. Buttoned cinch-waist side tabs (Both sides of the hem come with side button adjusters, allowing you to cinch the shape). Adjustable waistband with a short tab and two black plastic catseye buttons in the back instead of metal ones. This jacket has horizontal front chest panel and multiple panels back design.

Lay the clothing flat and measure 3 cm under the armhole. Measure from side to side
Body Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from base of collar seam (excluding collar) down to the end of the hem
Sleeve Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from center back of base of collar seam to the end of the cuff
Shoulder Width
Lay the clothing flat and measure shoulder seam to shoulder seam
Lay Jeans/Pants flat, face up and do not stretch or pull fabric.
Waist
Measure flat across the back waistband from one side to the other with the natural dip. Double the number to get actual waist size.
Inseam
Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg on the inside seam.
