Fabric : Made of 100% cotton heavyweight noragi boro style jacquard fabric with white sashiko stitchings in vertically and horizontally which gives the shirt a traditional Japanese textile effect. When Japanese people still wore kimono, cotton clothing was very valuable. Even if they were used for a long time and torn, they were patchd and running-stitched to the cloth and reused again and again and worn carefully as reinforced clothes. These reinforcement techniques are called Noragi, Boro, and Sashiko. But the Noragi, Boro, and Sashiko are also highly valued for its decorative beauty. This fabric is woven on specialized jacquard looms to recreate traditional Japanese Noragi Boro Sashiko fabric. The fabric of this shirt has been woven in yarn made from cotton thick yarns which containing varying thicknesses, uneven and heather yarns. This results in a unique fabric with an old-fashioned hue, a nice irregular and uneven texture to shirt. This weaving process is provides a traditional Japanese weaving look. In addition, the fabric has been sashiko running-stitched with white thread in vertical and horizontal irregularly. This fabric has a distinctive slubby and neppy texture. It combines the toughness and the natural softness for comfort. And this shirt is washed once for the fashionable vintage feel and look. Pre washed, minimal shrinkage.
