Outer shell : 100% cotton twill fabric (Cotton Poplin, West point twill). Light-weight, non-stretch, high density, tightly woven, durable fabric with a diagonal ribbed appearance on the face of the fabric. It combines the toughness and the natural softness for comfort.

Color : Olive Drab.

Lining shell for body and sleeves : Fully lined, double-faced 50% alpaca and 50% wool alpaca-wool pile undyed natural color fur to retains heat and protect you from the cold. This lining provides great warmth to the wearer.

Interlining (Type of insulation) : Insulated jacket with warm alpaca-wool pile sherpa insulation lining in the body and sleeves stay warm but do not like bulky puffer jackets. Suitable for fall and winter seasons.

Placket type : Zipper closure. Front Fastener from Talon zip with zip tape made of all-cotton HBT fabric. Vintage-style TALON zipper closure with wind flap protector (storm flap) located behind zipper closure (partially to the lower side of the jacket). Storm flap prevents the wind from slipping through the front. A leather tab has been attached to zipper pull-tab, making it easy to open and close when riding a motorcycle or wearing gloves (or both).

Storage : Two button-flap exterior patch pockets on the lower front section of the jacket. Pencil slot assembled on the exterior of the left pocket. One interior vertical-side-entry snap-closure pocket.

Collar : Gorgeous, plush, genuine mouton-fur collar. The collar has a neck strap (Storm Flap Underneath Collar) to make fastening easy with a button. The throat latch for use in foul weather to enable the jacket to provide added protection to the lower part of the face. You can pop the collar to further protect from the cold. Concealed buttons under the collar fastens across the neck when the collars of the jacket are upturned. It is used to protect the wearer from wind or dust. You can also hide a neck strap (a chin strap, a throat tab) when not in use using a button inside.

Cuff type : The two-ply worsted-wool cuffs with the narrow weave graduating into the wider weave at top.

Other details : The two-ply worsted-wool knit ribbed sleeve ends and waistband are comfortable and flexible. Hanger loop in neck area sewn into the collar. Leather pull tab on zipper. USAAF insignia screening in off-white located on the lower section of interior pocket. Shoulder epaulets with button fasteners. Armpit gusset is an extra piece of material sewn into the area under the armpit. The gusset provides freedom of movement and a more comfortable wearing experience. A gusset also helps disperse stress around the armpit area making the jacket more durable and tasks.

The U. S. Army Air Force Type B-10 Intermediate Flight Jacket was developed as a replacement for both the leather A-2 and sheepskin B-6 Flight Jackets. The B-10 was a cloth adaptation of the US Navy G-1 Leather Jacket pattern with modifications. The B-10 Flight Jacket was the first cloth-shelled, alpaca fur-lined flying jacket of the USAAF, being standardized for service in July 1943. However, actual combat issue did not take place until late February 1944. The cloth-shelled jacket B-10 was lighter and more versatile than the previous leather jacket. And B-10 afforded fighter pilots far less bulk and considerably more comfort in their cramped cockpits.
