This item is made from Japanese denim produced by Samurai Jeans brand and combine the classic military style of a US Army Air Corps (USAC) A-1 flying jacket with the casual, rugged aesthetic of denim fabric. This product is a denim version model based on the original design of the US Army Air Corps Type A-1 Leather Flight Jackets, with Samurai Jeans's unique modern interpretation and approach. The construction pattern of this jean jacket is modeled after iconic United States Army Air Corps (USAC) A-1 flying jackets (bomber jackets, flight jackets, military aviator jackets), the first U.S. flight jacket standardized in 1927 with classic design, but this jean jacket has been re-designed with the Samurai Jeans's brand own detailing, contemporary interpretation and modernize fit for a more casual look and fashion purpose. This jacket is a modified version of type A1 leather flight jacket for those who want the look of the original, and this jacket has replaced the leather with a 17 Oz. denim fabric for more casual purposes. The original genuine leather shell has been replaced by denim shell. The beauty of this piece is the balance of classic construction and modern updates from Samurai Jeans. The fabric of this jacket is made up of 2 layers. This jacket is constructed from a rugged, neppy, 17 Oz. heavyweight Japanese deep blue indigo denim outer shell with HBT herringbone twill lining in olive. And this jacket features front button closure, knit ribbed stand collar with two loop button closure, knit ribbed waistband with two snap button closure, knit ribbed sleeve ends, and exterior two patch pockets with flap and button closure. This outerwear is unfilled and can be worn year-round, especially in spring and fall. This jacket is new original creations by Samurai Jeans.

Outer shell : Made of a 100% cotton 17 Oz. heavyweight Japanese deep blue indigo denim, which has a more slubby and neppy texture like the vintage denim than any other normal denim woven by contemporary industrial looms. This jacket has been washed once for the fashionable vintage feel and look. Pre washed, minimal shrinkage. And the more you wear, the more fabric will fade beautifully.
Lining shell : Made of 100% cotton thin, lightweigt, density and tightness weave HBT herringbone twill fabric. This lining is smooth and sleek so you can take the jacket off and put it on easily.
Rib: 63% Acrylic, 27% Wool, 9.2% Nylon, 0.8% Spandex
Type of insulation : Unfilled. No fill, No inside padding. This outerwear is unlined and can be worn year-round, especially in spring and fall.
Placket type : Front button closure. The type A-1 has 5 central buttons for closure with 2 loop button closure for neck fastening and 2 snap buttons to fasten the waistband (bottom of the jacket). The buttons are genuine buffalo horn buttons. Buttons on ribbed hem are metal snap buttons.
Pocket : Two flap pockets with button closure on the lower front section of the jacket.
Collar : A convertible two-ply knit ribbed stand-up collar in olive to make fastening easy with two loop button closure. This collar can be worn spread or standing. When you turn-up the collar, will help throat chilling winds from entering the jacket neck area. You can also turn-down the collar like shirt-style collar.
Cuff type : The two-ply knit rib cuffs in olive with the narrow weave graduating into the wider weave at top.
Bottom of a jacket : The two-ply knit ribbed waistband in olive with two snap button closure.
Back : The back of this jacket has two piece panels and the top yolk having a straight panel.
Pattern Type : Plain, solid color, basic, simple, blank.

Other details : The two-ply knit ribbed collar/sleeve ends/waistband in olive color are comfortable and flexible. Since this item is indigo-dyed, it's prone to crocking, or color transfer, so wear (and wash) it with dark colors till it's worn in. * This garment has gone through a unique color dyeing process. Sleeve Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from center back of base of collar seam to the end of the cuff
Shoulder Width
Lay the clothing flat and measure shoulder seam to shoulder seam
Lay Jeans/Pants flat, face up and do not stretch or pull fabric.
Waist
Measure flat across the back waistband from one side to the other with the natural dip. Double the number to get actual waist size.
Inseam
Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg on the inside seam.
