These modern Japanese denim jeans are crafted in Japan by Samurai Jeans, a contemporary denim label established in 1998 and based in Osaka, Japan. Samurai Jeans integrates Japanese craftsmanship and contemporary elements into classic American clothing design. The pattern of these jeans is modeled after American vintage styles but has been redesigned with Samurai Jeans' unique detailing, contemporary interpretation, and a modernized fit for a more casual and fashionable look. The beauty of these jeans lies in the balance of classic construction with modern updates from Samurai Jeans. Made from 100% cotton, non-stretch, 17-ounce heavy-weight Japanese selvage denim in deep blue indigo, the fabric is woven with rope-dyed indigo yarns in the warp and natural yarns in the weft. It features an unsinged right-hand twill construction without an anti-twist process. It is a rugged denim with a heathered, neppy, and slubby texture. Additionally, as part of the finishing process, it is pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage and to achieve a comfortable texture. With repeated wear and washing, the surface of the denim will develop more hairy fibers, and the leg will naturally skew in the direction of the twill line, giving an old-fashioned look similar to vintage jeans. These modern jeans are designed with a stylish, slightly slimmer fit that includes a button fly and a classic five-pocket design. They feature a straight-leg silhouette that is trimmer than the typical regular fit, yet not excessively slim. The fabric features a right-hand twill construction that is unsinged and lacks an anti-twist process, resulting in a rugged, heathered, neppy, and slubby texture. To minimize shrinkage and enhance comfort, the denim is pre-washed, often referred to as "one-wash. The denim is woven using slab yarn, which creates a unique, irregular, and uneven texture. It is produced on old shuttle looms operating at low tension, reducing stress on the yarn. This low-speed weaving process enhances the fabric's durability while maintaining its natural softness. As a result, the denim is both sturdy and comfortable. The jeans feature selvedge details in a glittering red, reminiscent of a Japanese sword style, visible along the interior outseam and inside the coin pocket opening. These details add a distinctive aesthetic to the durable fabric. The denim is pre-washed to ensure minimal shrinkage, combining toughness with comfort. With repeated wear and washing, the surface of the denim will develop more hairy fibers, and the leg will naturally skew in the direction of the twill line, giving an old-fashioned look similar to vintage jeans. And with continued wear, the fabric will soften further, develop a comfortable feel, and beautifully fade, enhancing its character over time.

Storage : Two embossed copper riveted scoop hand pockets in front. One embossed copper riveted coin pocket in front. Two open-top patch pocket with concealed rivets in back both side. Front pocket bags are cotton jacquard fabric.
Button type : Front buttons are "Japanese pine tree bonsai" shape embossed design iron buttons.
Other details : Five belt loops for better support of your belt. Samurai Jeans original Japanese Samurai design goatskin leather patch on back-right-side waistband. The rivets are made of copper with the underside of the front pocket rivets marked Japanese Katakana character which means SAMURAI in English. And the underside of the back pocket rivets marked Japanese Kanji which means "All Things Change" in English. Front pocket bags have an original Jacquard pattern interwoven with Kanji by thin Beige threads which means "All Things Change" in English.
