HEADLIGHT Work Cap Men's Reproduction of Hickory Striped Engineer Cap Railroad Hat HD02797 421 One-Wash
This hickory work cap, crafted by Toyo Enterprises in Japan, is manufactured under an official license from the American HEADLIGHT brand. Originally "Headlight" was a workwear brand from the Larned, Carter & Co., based in Detroit, USA, active from the early 1900s until the 1960s, producing workwear such as overalls, engineer jacket, work pants, railroad cap, etc. It was loved by railroad workers and engineers for its functional construction, but disappeared in the 1960s when it was absorbed by another company. However, Toyo Enterprises in Japan has revived the HEADLIGHT brand, even replicating the original label design. This cap's design is a reproduction of the vintage HEADLIGHT hickory striped cap. This hat has these historical features and details. Made of a 100% cotton unlined, single-ply, 11 Oz. hickory stripe denim fabric. Additionally, as part of the finishing process, it is pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage and to achieve a fashionable vintage look and appearance. This cap features a medium-profile, 1 panel crown with a hatband, flexible short brim (no stiffener) to rolled up and stowed in your pocket, metal eyelet holes on both sides for ventilation, No adjustable strap, and Iconic HEADLIGHT brand label on front of cap. The crown is constructed out of 1 panel of durable cotton reinforced with a hatband. The crown panel is gathered at the hatband to form the flat top shape. This work hat can be worn year-round.
