Inspired by the iconic vintage first edition 1936 Type I (Type 1) Jackets, it recreates classic details and elements while incorporating Samurai Jeans' unique rugged 17-ounce heavyweight selvedge denim. This denim jacket combines nostalgic charm with Samurai Jeans' craftsmanship, offering a timeless design, high-quality materials, modern durability, and a casual yet stylish look. The fabric is 100% cotton, featuring 17-ounce heavyweight selvedge denim woven with deeply dyed indigo warp yarns and natural white weft yarns. Both the warp and weft yarns are made from thick, unevenly twisted yarns using hard, rough raw cotton. Woven on a special power loom, this denim jacket has a rugged texture with slubby and neppy characteristics, as well as a slightly hairy surface. As part of the finishing process, the jacket is pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage. This denim jacket features a five-button front closure, stitched-down double pleats along the front placket, a single chest flap pocket with button closure, a back shoulder yoke, a two-panel design with a center seam below the back yoke, rear side pleats under the back yoke, a cinch back with an iron buckle near the back hem, and single-button cuffs with rivet-reinforced slits. Insulation and Lining: This outerwear is unlined and unfilled, featuring a single layer with no padding. It's lightweight and designed for year-round wear, especially during spring and fall.

Placket type : Five buttons on the front opening. The buttons are copper-colored iron with engraved pine tree designs.

Collar : Shirt-style turn-down point collar.

Storage : Single chest pockets with flap and button closure at wearer's left.

Cuff type : Single button cuff. Cuff slit with riveted reinforcement. Sleeve placket ( cuff slits ) let you take the jacket off and put it on easily.

Yoke type : Straight back yoke.
