This men's plain long-sleeve pocket T-shirt is made in Japan by Whitesville, Toyo Enterprises' sportswear label rooted in classic American athletic wear. The design draws on the practical materials, construction methods, and details associated with vintage sportswear. Its 100% cotton jersey is knitted from 14-count yarn, giving the fabric moderate substance, subtle natural surface variation, and a supple feel. The tubular body has no side seams, while the rib-knit binder crew neck, set-in sleeves, double-layer ribbed cuffs, self-fabric chest pocket, and straight folded hem establish the familiar construction of a classic long-sleeve T-shirt. Double-needle stitching reinforces key areas, and an embroidered Whitesville logo patch near the left cuff adds a restrained accent. A one-wash finish settles the fabric before wear. With a regular fit that leans slightly slim, this shirt brings the character of classic athletic wear into everyday casual outfits, whether worn on its own or beneath a shirt or jacket.

Size and Fit Guide:

Gender: Men.

The T-shirt has a regular fit that leans slightly slim, combining moderate room through the chest with a neat shoulder fit and a relatively compact body length. Its proportions follow the clean outline of vintage athletic wear, with enough room for everyday movement while sitting comparatively close to the body. It is neither an especially tight fit nor a loose, oversized cut.

Set-in sleeves define the shoulder and armhole area. The lower body is finished with a straight, turned-under hem, allowing the jersey to fall naturally without being drawn inward by a rib-knit waistband. Ribbed cuffs provide a closer finish around the wrists. Together, these details maintain a tidy overall silhouette that works as a standalone long-sleeve T-shirt or as a layer beneath a shirt or jacket.

The cotton knit has natural stretch, so the listed measurements describe the garment in its laid-flat state. The fabric can extend and relax with movement during wear; please consider this flexibility alongside the dimensions when assessing fit.

Because fit varies with body type and personal preference, please measure a similar long-sleeve T-shirt that fits you well and compare its chest width, body length, center-back sleeve length, shoulder-to-cuff sleeve length, and shoulder width with those listed below.

The following measurements show the garment itself, not your body measurements. Width is the flat measurement across the body of the shirt, not the full chest circumference.

[How We Measure the Actual Garment]

Width (Chest Width / Half Chest): Lay the garment flat and measure straight across from side to side, approximately 3cm (about 1.2 in.) below the underarms.

Length (Body Length): Measured from the base of the back collar, where the collar joins the body, straight down to the bottom of the hem. The height of the neck ribbing is not included.

Sleeve (Center-Back Sleeve Length): The first sleeve measurement is taken from the center back at the base of the collar seam, across the shoulder, and down to the end of the cuff.

Sleeve in Parentheses (Sleeve Length from Shoulder Seam): The sleeve measurement shown in parentheses is taken from the top of the shoulder seam straight down to the end of the cuff.

Shoulder (Shoulder Width): Measured straight across the back from the outer edge of one shoulder seam to the outer edge of the other.

Made in Japan.
- Brand new, in unused condition.
- All measurements are taken by hand with the garment laid flat, using a measuring tape.
- Please note that slight variations in measurements may occur due to individual garment differences and the measuring method.

14-Count 100% Cotton Jersey Fabric
The body is made from 100% cotton single jersey knitted with 14-count yarn. The fabric has a balanced thickness and moderate substance suited to a long-sleeve T-shirt. It is not an extremely thin, lightweight jersey, and it does not have the excessive thickness or stiffness of an especially heavy fabric.

The outer face shows the vertical columns of stitches characteristic of jersey knitting. These visible stitches give the surface a subtle sense of depth. The yarn's natural character remains apparent in the finished fabric, with slight unevenness, fine slub-like variations, and tiny nep-like irregularities. Together, these details create a quietly textured, vintage-inspired appearance without an overly smooth or uniform surface.

The fabric retains a moderate amount of body while remaining naturally soft and supple. Its thickness gives it a tangible presence, while its flexibility allows it to bend and move with the wearer. This balance provides the substance of a regular casual T-shirt together with the easy movement associated with cotton knit.

Tubular Body with No Side Seams
The torso is knitted as a continuous tube on a circular knitting machine. The front and back therefore form part of the same tubular section, without separate front and back panels being joined along the left and right sides.

Eliminating these side seams also removes the seam allowances that would otherwise sit against the sides of the body. This reduces localized ridges and bulk at those points and allows the jersey to settle naturally around the torso. The construction preserves a traditional feature of classic T-shirts while contributing to a smoother feel along the sides during wear.

One-Wash Finish
The T-shirt is washed once during the finishing process. This initial wash eases the stiffness of the new fabric while leaving a moderate amount of body in the jersey, creating a supple feel that is easier to settle into from the first wear.

Washing during production also allows some of the initial cotton shrinkage to take place before purchase, helping reduce the large dimensional changes that can occur with an unwashed cotton garment. The treatment does not eliminate all later shrinkage: this is a 100% cotton knit, and further slight changes in size may occur depending on washing methods, drying conditions, and differences between individual garments.

With repeated wear and washing, the cotton gradually settles further, and the fabric develops a more relaxed, naturally worn-in feel. This change in hand accompanies the way the jersey becomes more familiar to the wearer's movements over time.

Rib-Knit Binder Crew Neck with Double-Needle Stitching
The crew neck is finished with a separate rib-knit binding that wraps around the cut edge of the body fabric. The jersey edge is enclosed between the outer and inner portions of the binding, which are secured with double-needle stitching. This supports the cut neckline edge from both sides.

The neck ribbing is knitted with 14-count yarn, matching the yarn count used in the body and cuffs. Its rib-knit structure gives the neckline a distinct finish while maintaining a consistent material character with the rest of the shirt.

The neck opening stretches repeatedly as the T-shirt is pulled on and removed. By enclosing and reinforcing the body edge, the binder construction helps stabilize this area and limit stretching out, waviness, and distortion. The result is a reinforced crew-neck opening designed to hold its shape through normal use.

Set-In Long Sleeves
The long sleeves use a conventional set-in construction, with each sleeve sewn into the body's armhole and the sleeve attachment positioned near the shoulder tip. This creates a defined transition between the shoulder and sleeve.

The clearly established shoulder line gives the upper body a neat outline and supports the shirt's relatively trim proportions. It is a straightforward sleeve arrangement associated with classic crew-neck T-shirts and athletic wear.

Double-Layer Rib-Knit Cuffs
The cuffs are made from separate rib-knit pieces using 14-count yarn. Each piece is folded back on itself to form a double layer and then sewn to the end of the jersey sleeve. Double-needle stitching is used at the cuff attachment areas as part of the shirt's reinforced construction.

The rib knit has greater stretch than the body jersey, allowing the cuff to expand with movement and fit moderately close around the wrist. This helps keep the sleeve opening from spreading excessively and gives the sleeve a controlled finish.

The doubled ribbing also creates a clear transition between the jersey sleeve and wrist opening. Its fit around the wrist contributes to the familiar cuff shape of classic athletic wear, complementing the shirt's straight, ungathered lower hem.

Straight Folded Hem with Double-Needle Stitching
The lower edge is finished by turning the body jersey inward to form a straight hem. Two parallel rows of double-needle stitching are visible on the outside, securing the turned-under section in place.

On the inside, overlock stitching finishes the cut edge of the jersey, helping limit fraying and keeping the hem allowance neatly contained. This combines a folded edge at the bottom with a stitched finish along the inner cut edge.

The hem is made from the body fabric without an attached rib-knit waistband. As a result, it does not gather the lower torso inward. The body can fall naturally to the straight lower edge, preserving the clean outline and familiar finish of a T-shirt.

Double-Needle Reinforcement Across the Shoulder Seams
The shoulder joins are reinforced with two parallel rows of stitching positioned on opposite sides of each seam. The joining line sits between the two stitch rows, so the reinforcement supports both sides of the junction.

This arrangement helps distribute stress across the shoulder area and holds the seam allowances in position, limiting lifting and shifting at the joins. It stabilizes an area that is subject to repeated movement and reflects the practical reinforcement methods associated with vintage sportswear.

Self-Fabric Left-Chest Patch Pocket
A patch pocket is sewn onto the left chest using the same 100% cotton jersey as the body. The lower edges angle inward toward the center, creating a shape similar to a baseball home plate.

At the pocket opening, the fabric is turned inward to create a double layer and secured with stitching. This reinforces the entry edge, where the fabric is handled when the pocket is used.

Using the body fabric for the pocket keeps its texture and material consistent with the rest of the T-shirt. The separate patch adds a practical chest detail while maintaining the simple appearance of the plain design.

Embroidered Whitesville Logo Patch Near the Left Cuff
A patch featuring the Whitesville logo in embroidery is sewn onto the left sleeve near the cuff. The embroidered design is carried on the attached patch, adding a small area of raised texture at the sleeve end.

Its placement identifies the brand discreetly and provides a restrained accent within the otherwise plain design.

Made in Japan
Whitesville model WV68849 is made in Japan. Its 14-count cotton jersey, tubular body, reinforced binder neckline, double-needle stitching, rib-knit cuffs, and self-fabric chest pocket bring together the material character and practical construction of classic American athletic wear.

The one-wash finish gives the fabric a supple starting point, while the natural surface variation and straightforward construction keep the emphasis on the cotton and the way the shirt is made. Its slightly slim regular fit and straight hem allow it to work naturally as a standalone long-sleeve T-shirt or as a layer beneath shirts and jackets.
