This military-style Unfilled cotton jacket is made in Japan and produced by Buzz Rickson ( Buzz Ricksons Buzz Rickson's ) from Toyo Enterprises. The pattern construction of this unpadded jacket is a reproduction of the US Army M-1943 Field Jacket. This M1943 combat uniform combines all those historical characteristics and details with a modernize fit for a more casual look and fashion purpose. The fabric of this M-43 jacket is made up of 2 layers. This M43 jacket is constructed from a 100% cotton high-count military spec heavyweight cotton back sateen cloth in olive color with lightweight cotton poplin lining. And this Buzz Rickson M1943 jacket features a concealed button front closure, four front flap pockets, convertible notched lapel collar with neck strap, interior drawcord at the waist, and removable hood attached with shoulder loop buttons. This product is made for Japanese market and made for Japanese clothing sizes. Outer shell : 100% cotton high-count military spec heavyweight cotton back sateen cloth in olive. Non-stretch, tightly woven cotton back satin with a slubby and rough-hewn texture and uneven surface from horizontal lines on the face of the fabric. It is high density and extremely durable. It combines the toughness and the natural softness for comfort.
Lining shell : Made of 100% cotton poprin which is thin, lightweigt, density and tightness weave fabric. This lining is smooth and sleek so you can take the jacket off and put it on easily.
Interlining (Type of insulation ) : Unfilled, unpadded, non-padded. No fill, No inside padding, Great for wearing mid-season or even in the winter with under layering.
Types of garment closure (Placket type) : Front button closure. The jacket has a concealed button front closure.
Pocket : The jacket has four exterior pockets. Two chest expandable pockets with flap closures secured by concealed button tabs. And two large-sized exterior pockets with flap closures secured by concealed button tabs at the lower front section of the front. The lower pockets are lined with cotton twill in off-white.
Collar : The convertible notched lapel collar with neck strap. M-43 was designed with a collar and lapel that laid flat (although the collar could also be turned up and fully buttoned). Neck flap kept under the left collar which can be used to protect the neck. Four buttons and neck strap on the backside of the collar enabling the collar to be turned up and secured against the weather as required.
Hood for Jacket, Field M-1943 : Removable hood attached with shoulder loop buttons. Unbutton shoulder loops of Jacket, button hood onto shoulder buttons and rebutton shoulder loops. Turn up collar and button up throat tab of Jacket on collar buttons. Fasten right flap of hood to middle exposed button. Button left flap of hood over right flap of hood to some button. Button top button of hood, adjust the drawstring and tie. The hood should be worn under the steel helmet.
Cuff type : The two-step button tab adjustable cuffs let you change the size of the sleeve openings.

Body Width (Half Chest)
Lay the clothing flat and measure 3 cm under the armhole. Measure from side to side
Body Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from base of collar seam (excluding collar) down to the end of the hem
Sleeve Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from center back of base of collar seam to the end of the cuff
Shoulder Width
Lay the clothing flat and measure shoulder seam to shoulder seam
Lay Jeans/Pants flat, face up and do not stretch or pull fabric.
Waist
Measure flat across the back waistband from one side to the other with the natural dip. Double the number to get actual waist size.
Inseam
Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg on the inside seam.
