This men's sherpa-lined corduroy jacket is produced by the EDWIN Group under license from Wrangler Apparel Corporation and is made in Vietnam. Designed as a modern reinterpretation of the classic ranch coat style, it incorporates authentic, period-inspired details with an easy-to-wear look that fits naturally into a modern casual wardrobe and balances heritage style with everyday wearability. In terms of materials and construction, it features a supple 100% cotton wide-wale (8-wale) corduroy outer shell. The sherpa lining is stitched to the shell at the front placket and around the collar, while the rest of the body lining is left unattached and only secured at key points for a flexible, comfortable feel. For smoother layering, the sleeves are finished with a quilt-stitched polyester satin lining filled with lightweight synthetic insulation. As part of the finishing process, the garment is pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimize shrinkage and enhance comfort. For detailing, the jacket features a wide-spread fold-down sherpa collar in classic ranch coat style. When the top snap is fastened, the collar can be closed up to the neck to help keep the wearer warm in colder conditions. When left undone, the collar opens into a V-shaped notch-like shape at the neckline. The front uses a five-snap closure with metal snaps throughout, paired with distinctive zig-zag topstitching running down the left center-front placket. Set-in long sleeves are finished with Western-style adjustable snap cuffs for easy wear and a secure fit at the wrist. The chest features yoke-linked flap pockets with snap closures, finished with Wrangler's signature "W" stitching. All metal snaps are engraved with the Wrangler brand logo. A Wrangler label is inserted into the yoke seam above the left chest pocket for a subtle brand accent. At the waist, angled single-welt hand-warmer pockets provide practical storage and added cold-weather functionality. The back uses a multi-panel construction, consisting of a back yoke with three panels below, creating structure while maintaining a classic Western-inspired silhouette. This item follows U.S./EU sizing and offers comfortable room through the chest. It features a mid-length cut that reflects classic ranch coat proportions, providing a balanced silhouette that layers easily. Overall, it pairs a classic-inspired design with the EDWIN Group's careful attention to detail and dependable craftsmanship.

Wrangler WM1823 - Men's Sherpa-Lined Jacket (Ranch Coat Style)
Produced by the EDWIN Group under license from Wrangler Apparel Corporation / Made in Vietnam
Product Overview
- This men's sherpa-lined jacket is produced by the EDWIN Group under license from Wrangler Apparel Corporation and is made in Vietnam. Designed as a modern reinterpretation of the classic ranch coat style, it incorporates period-inspired Western detailing while maintaining practical everyday wearability for modern casual outfits.
Shell Fabric: The outer shell is made from 100% cotton 8-wale (8W) corduroy. Corduroy is a cut-pile woven fabric, and the "8-wale" specification indicates there are eight raised ribs (wales) per inch, classifying it as a wide-wale corduroy with a pronounced, three-dimensional surface texture. The vertical wales create strong light-and-shadow contrast depending on viewing angle and lighting, giving the fabric a deep, dimensional appearance with rich visual character. Because the pile structure holds small air pockets between the fibers, the fabric offers enhanced insulation and warmth, making it well-suited for fall and winter outerwear. The wide-wale profile also reinforces a classic, workwear-forward aesthetic that pairs especially well with ranch coat and Western-inspired jacket styling.
One-Wash Finish
- As part of the finishing process, the garment is pre-washed (one-wash). This process helps minimize post-purchase shrinkage and improves comfort by relaxing the fabric and softening the overall feel.
Body Lining Construction
- Body lining: 100% polyester synthetic sherpa. The sherpa lining is stitched to the outer shell at the front placket and around the collar area. The remainder of the body lining is not fully attached to the shell and is secured only at key points inside the body. This partial attachment method allows the lining to move more naturally with the shell, improving flexibility and reducing stiffness compared to fully bonded or fully stitched sherpa constructions.
Sleeve Lining and Insulation
- Sleeve lining: polyester satin with quilt stitching.
- Sleeve insulation: lightweight synthetic (polyester) fill.
- The satin surface improves slip for smoother layering over inner garments, while the quilt-stitched padding adds warmth without restricting arm movement.
Collar Design and Function
- Collar type: wide-spread fold-down sherpa collar in classic ranch coat style. When the top snap is fastened, the collar can be closed up to the neck to help retain warmth in colder conditions. When left undone, the collar opens into a V-shaped notch-like shape at the neckline, creating a structured Western-inspired look.
Front Closure and Placket Detailing
- Front closure: five-snap closure with metal snaps throughout. All metal snaps are engraved with the Wrangler brand logo. A distinctive zig-zag topstitch runs down the left center-front placket, reinforcing the placket area while adding a period-inspired Western detail.
Sleeve Construction and Cuffs
- Sleeve type: set-in long sleeves.
- Cuffs: Western-style adjustable snap cuffs for easy wear and a secure fit at the wrist.
Chest Pockets and Branding
- Chest pockets: yoke-linked flap pockets with snap closures.
- Pocket detailing: Wrangler's signature "W" stitching on the chest pockets.
- A Wrangler label is inserted into the yoke seam above the left chest pocket for a subtle brand accent without disrupting the overall symmetry.
Waist Pockets
- Waist pockets: angled single-welt hand-warmer pockets. The single-welt construction keeps the front profile clean and low-bulk, while the angled opening supports natural hand entry and cold-weather functionality.
Back Construction
- Back structure: multi-panel construction.
- Configuration: a back yoke with three panels below. This panel layout adds structure, supports shape retention, and maintains a classic Western-inspired silhouette.
