ZANTER JAPAN
ZANTER JAPAN is the Japanese manufacturer that specializes in downwear and has been researching and developing down jackets. ZANTER was established in 1951 as a clothing department of the current Toyo Feather Industry, Co., Ltd., and is a manufacturer that has been supporting Japanese adventurers, including the Japanese Alpine Club for the world’s first ascent of Manaslu that captured the hearts of the whole of Japan, the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition, those on Everest expeditions, and the first Japanese to reach the North Pole.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that ZANTER’s history is the history of Japanese downwear. In particular, ZANTER has repeatedly revolutionized its techniques almost every year in developing products for and supplying them to the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition that has been operating since 1956.
