This plain sweatshirt is made in Japan and produced by Buzz Rickson ( Buzz Ricksons Buzz Rickson's ) from Toyo Enterprises. The Buzz Rickson label, a division of Toyo Enterprise in Japan, is famous around the world for its expertly-crafted authentic military clothing. This product is made for Japanese market and made for Japanese clothing sizes. The pattern construction of this sweatshirt is classic-style loop-wheeling sweatshirt, but this sweatshirt is outfitted with Buzz Rickson's brand own detailing and design in a contemporary approach with a modernize fit. With the inspiration from classic clothing (sportswear style with military influences), this item has been re-designed for a more casual look and fashion purpose. This Buzz Rickson's sweatshirt features 13-ounce 100% cotton medium weight loop-wheeled sweatshirt fabric with a soft brushed interior backing, tubular loopwheeling construction with no side seams, cover stitch ribbed crew-neckband with double layer V-gusset stitching (V-Stitch, V-Insert) on the front, set-in-sleeve, 4-needle flatlock seam sewn body, classic style longer ribbed cuff and waistband. And this sweatshirt is originally intended to wear as a Modern Fit (Not too tight or Not loose) with short in the body length to allow for wearing layers underneath flight jacket style. It combines durability and the natural softness for comfort. This sweatshirt is washed once for a fashionable vintage feel and look. Pre washed, minimal shrinkage.
Body : Tubular construction (No side seam construction). Made on vintage looms which knit the fabric in a seamless continuous tube known as loop-wheeling. The fabric is produced with minimal tension during knitting process and lack of seams means the garment will keep its shape through wear and washing. It combines durability and the natural softness for comfort. Vintage looms are special machines that are able to knit a perfect tube, but they can only knit one set diameter (size) per loom, so a loom for each size is required. This is why one hardly ever sees perfect tube construction in modern day garments.
Collar : Ribbed crew neck with bound neckband (cover stitch neckband with double stitching). It used for the neck to prevent overstretching. Double layer V-gusset stitching (V-stitch, V-insert, sweat catch) on the front neck for the fashionable vintage feel and look.

A triangle of rib fabric is inserted underneath the front crew neck collar. The technical name is the V-gusset stitching or V-Stitch or V-Insert. Its use was originally as a means of collecting sweat around the chest and neckline after exercise. In addition to its practical use, the V-inserted was added as a way of controlling the stretch of the neckline when pulling the garment on. This piece made more elastic the neckline and recovering the form again. Lock stitch throughout.

How to measure the clothing
Body Width (Half Chest)
Lay the clothing flat and measure 3 cm under the armhole. Measure from side to side
Body Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from base of collar seam (excluding collar) down to the end of the hem
Sleeve Length
Lay the clothing flat and measure from center back of base of collar seam to the end of the cuff
Shoulder Width
Lay the clothing flat and measure shoulder seam to shoulder seam
Lay Jeans/Pants flat, face up and do not stretch or pull fabric.
Waist
Measure flat across the back waistband from one side to the other with the natural dip. Double the number to get actual waist size.
Inseam
Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg on the inside seam.
