Garment dyeing is a technique in which clothing is dyed after it has been fully assembled, rather than dyeing the fabric before it is sewn. This process gives the garment a naturally faded, vintage-like appearance. Since the dyeing and washing occur after the garment is constructed, any shrinkage happens during this process, resulting in minimal shrinkage after future washes and ensuring a more consistent fit. The garment-dyeing technique also enhances the fabric’s color depth, giving it a rich, muted hue and a comfortably worn-in feel. Due to the deep dye saturation, we recommend washing this garment separately and pairing it with similar or darker colors to prevent potential color transfer onto lighter clothing.
